CLEAN SLATE SCHOOLS COMPETITION
THE LORD MAYOR OF OXFORD, VAL SMITH, GAVE TEA IN HER TOWN
HALL PARLOUR AS THE PRIZE FOR THE 12 WINNERS OF A SPECIAL COMPETITION
FOR SCHOOLS.
As part of the Oxford Clean Slate Week (Nov
29 - Dec 5), which was supported by the Lord Mayor and City Council
as well as by local MPs, churches and schools, there was a competition
for primary school children with the theme: "Cleaning our
slates for the new millennium".
The 12 winners were selected from the dozens
of entries received, and were the guests of the Lord Mayor in
her parlour on Thursday 2nd December.
The winners were:
